Obituary of Frank Anthony Mazza

Frank Anthony Mazza, born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 14, 1932, a former resident of Media, PA, and Caldwell, New Jersey, died on October 14, 2019 after a long struggle with dementia. He was the son of Anthony Mazza and Christine Minette

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of West Chester State Teachers College and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science . Frank was a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania and Florida. He taught school in Schwenksville , PA, before working in Clinical Research and Development at McNeil Laboratories, Ft. Washington, PA. He moved to Caldwell, NJ in l968 and worked at Novartis Pharmaceutical in Clinical Research and new drug studies until his retirement in 1994.

He was a member of the Caldwell Council for two terms from 1980 – 1986 and was instrumental in the planning of the new Caldwell Fire House and Caldwell Library addition. Frank was an avid bridge player and was a Lifetime Master with 500 points. He also enjoyed golf and tennis and traveling over 5 continents with his wife Donna Rae

He is survived by his wife Donna Rae Stricklin Mazza of 52 years, his sisters -in- law Dr. Fay Stricklin and Janice Stricklin Russ.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date for family and friends.
