Obituary of Raymond Kleiber

Raymond T. Kleiber

American Hunter

Raymond T. Kleiber, 67, of Rockaway Township, NJ, died on April 30, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer. His legacy of love of family and life is his greatest trophy.

Born in Teaneck, NJ to Joseph and Charlotte (Grosskopf) Kleiber, Ray was raised in Teaneck with his 4 brothers and a sister. He graduated from Bergen Community College with an Associate Degree that he put to good use in sales, construction and retail management.

Ray lived in West Milford, NJ before moving to Rockaway in 1996. An avid hunter he enjoyed many trips around the country hunting Elk, Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Mountain Goats, to name a few. Dressed in camo and with a firearm by his side, Ray was ready for the hunt of a lifetime.

He worked side by side with his wife, Barbara, owning and managing Wayne Pharmacy & Surgical Supplies. He would often refer to himself as the "stock-boy!"

Surviving to keep his spirit alive are his beloved wife, Barbara (Dowbekin) Kleiber; devoted sons, Eric (Kim) and Brian (Michelle) Kleiber, Michael and Stephen Bono; loving siblings, Joseph, Michael, Thomas and Steven Kleiber, and Theresa Amatucci; cherished grandchildren, Kyle and Riley; brother sportsmen and friends.

Celebrating Ray's life will take a lifetime…however we would like to begin this Sunday, May 6, 2018 with visitation from 5 – 9 pm at the Rockaway River Country Club, 39 Pocono Road, Denville, NJ. At 7:00 pm family and friends will speak, we will remember what made his life so very special and we will acknowledge that we are different because Ray was alive.
